I am an award-winning, ARRI-accredited camera operator and editor with over 10 years of experience. I specialise in live sports, music videos, short films, social media and other short-form content.

 

My interest in film production stems from years of directing, filming and editing comedy sketches and music videos. I am the drummer, lead composer and chief content creator for Raised by Owls, a satirical extreme metal band with 3 full-length albums, more than 250,000 online followers and more than 50 million video views across multiple platforms. Since its inception, Raised by Owls has been my primary outlet for building skills in cinematography and editing, and has allowed me to write, film and edit content for some of the most successful metal bands on earth, including Iron Maiden, Lamb of God and Amon Amarth.

 

I began camera operating at Trent Bridge and Motorpoint Arena in Nottingham in 2024, filming the Cricket County Championships and T20 for Nottinghamshire Outlaws, and Ice Hockey for Nottingham Panthers. I have also been an in-stadium and fan-park camera operator at the Bet356 Stadium for Stoke City FC. I have multiple years of experience filming and editing at Y Not Festival in Derbyshire. For this, I’ve created animated idents for the main stage screens, as well as shot more than 60 acts across each weekend each year and edited the footage daily so that recaps could be viewed on screens at the festival the following day, in addition to being used on their social media over the weekend and throughout the year.

 

I studied on the Level 3 Film and TV course at Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, where I earned my first two TV credits. I am currently studying Filmmaking at Nottingham Trent University, having won multiple awards for films in which I have been director, cinematographer, or editor. This includes 3 University Best Film awards and awards for Best Cinematographer, Best Director and Best Screenplay, plus an RTS award for a university documentary I edited. 

I am currently shooting with a Sony a7siii and have extensive experience with the Sony FX6, Sony FS5, and Sony PXW-X70. I gained official ARRI-accreditation this year, and have experience with the ARRI Alexa 35 and ARRI Alexa Mini LF. I have minor experience with the Red Epic MX, Red Komodo, Panasonic G9, Sony A7iii, Sony FX30, Blackmagic Pocket 6K Pro, and the Blackmagic URSA G2. I use Premiere Pro for editing and DaVinci Resolve for colour grading, and I have experience with After Effects and Audition. I am currently training in Avid Media Composer.
